Counseling philosophy:
As a counselor, I strive to understand, facilitate and create change in my clients, encouraging their personal growth.
My purpose in life is to bring about change to quality of life for all of whom I come to serve.
We view the world from four distinct, but interrelated pillars:
- our concept of self, and moral and ethical responsibilities
- our concept of others and the world
- our relationship with others and the world
- our knowledge and skills
Sometimes our perception of self, others, or reality is distorted, or affected by trauma or past experiences and it impacts our daily functioning and relationships. Counseling can help to bridge the gap between self, others, and the world, and bring in harmony to our daily relationships and functioning.
Treatment Philosophy
My treatment model and interventions are based on your strengths, assets, and innate ability for change. I will individualize a treatment plan that meet your personal needs.
My approach to treatment is multi-dimnesional, focusing on feelings, thougths and behaviors, dealing with issues related to the past, present, and future.
My goal is to help you build confidence, and independence, and to teach you new strategies and coping skills to solve current issues you are struggling with, and to learn to manage future obstacles that life may bring on.
